Covid-19 Vaccination Camp for all categories of employees working in SPMCIL Corporate Office

Covid-19 vaccination camp was organized in SPMCIL Corporate Office for all categories of its employees and their family members as a preventive measure against Covid-19 pandemic. The camp was conducted under the aegis of District Magistrate Office, New Delhi with the coordination of Dr. Pallavi Jain and her team presented from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi. All the remaining immunization Staff and Senior Management from SPMCIL to immunization were vaccinated and all beneficiaries were given doses of Covishield medicine during the camp.

Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited celebrated its 16th Foundation Day on 08.04.2021 through digital mode. Ms. Tripti Patra Ghosh, CMD, SPMCIL presented the certificates and cheques to the Corporate Office employees for their excellent performance during the year 2019-20 in the presence of Shri Shashank Saksena, Senior Economic Advisor, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Shri Sunil Kumar Sinha, Director (HR.), Shri Ajay Agarwal, Director (Finance) and Smt. Mamta Singh, IPS, CVO. Addressing the event, the Chairman and Managing Director highlighted the achievements of the company and also mentioned the innovative initiatives. She also called upon all the employees to perform their best in the interest of the company. The Chief General Managers presented the certificates and cheques to the employees for their excellent performance in their respective 09 units during the occasion. The event was attended by high level Executives of the Company and union representatives of the Units. Shri Shashank Saksena, Senior Economic Advisor, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance during his address congratulated all the employees of SPMCIL. He applauded SPMCIL for achievement of the targets despite Covid pandemic. He further assured for Ministry’s guidance and support. On this occasion, awards for outstanding performance for the year 2019-20 in various categories were also presented to the Units of SPMCIL. Prestigious CMD Cup was bestowed to Bank Note Press, Dewas for overall performance amongst its Units. Shri S.K. Sinha, Director (HR) congratulated all the winners and expressed gratitude to all concerned for their contribution in making this event successful. The guidelines on Covid-19 were fully followed during the programme.

The 3rd Sub-Committee of Committee of Parliament on Official Language inspected the work progress of Official Language of SPMCIL, Corporate Office on 27.10.2020 which was successfully concluded. SPMCIL was entrusted with the role of Co-ordination of other three offices also included in this Inspection. Shri Bhartruhari Mahtab, Deputy Chairman, Committee of Parliament on Official Language personally thanked Ms. Tripti Patra Ghosh ,CMD, SPMCIL for excellent co-ordination.

SPMCIL, a CPSE under the administrative control of DEA, MoF is rendering sovereign functions to Government of India i.e., minting of coins, printing of Banknotes, Non-judicial Stamp Papers, and Passports & allied, Postal items, other security products, etc. In pursuance to CVC’s directives, Vigilance Awareness Week-2020 (from 27th October to 02nd November, 2020) was inaugurated today at corporate office of SPMCIL with administration of the Integrity Pledge to the officials by the Chief Vigilance Officer, Smt Mamta Singh, IPS in the presence of Shri Ajay Agarwal, Director (Finance). In compliance with the guidelines related to social distancing/ wearing of mask the officials have administered e-pledge. During the week, various outreach activities like e-lectures, e-quiz, poster competitions, etc are being organized among the nine units of SPMCIL as well as nearby schools/colleges highlighting the theme of the week viz. ‘Vigilant India, Prosperous India’ to create awareness amongst the employees and various stakeholders to achieve transparency, accountability and corruption free governance which is the Commission’s prime endeavor.

SPM, Hoshangabad accredited with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Certification- Security Paper Mill, Hoshangabad, one of the Units of SPMCIL is awarded with the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), on 03.08.2020. NABL accreditation brings enhanced Competency in testing, raises customer confidence and satisfaction in testing certificate issued by the laboratory with universal acceptability in the open market which provides greater access for its products in both Domestic and International markets.
Celebration of 74th Independence Day across SPMCIL

All the Nine Units of SPMCIL celebrated the 74th Independence Day enthusiastically. The programmes started with ceremonial hoisting of National Flag, plantation etc. with limited Employees presence on this occasion. During the Independence Day Celebration, the theme of “Atmanirbhar Bharat” was also publicized. It is also to be mentioned here that Covid-19 warriors who have worked diligently during this period were also recognized for their noble service in the fight against Covid-19. However, in view of spread of Covid-19 pandemic, all the programmes/activities were observed by taking all the preventive measures such as Social Distancing. On this Occasion of Independence Day, SPMCIL also celebrated its Foundation Day by conferring the best employees for individual/innovation excellence achieved during the year 2018-19 by Ms Tripti Patra Ghosh, CMD in presence of Shri A.K. Srivastava, Director (Techincal), Shri S.K. Sinha, Director (HR) and Shri Ajay Agarwal, Director (Finance) and the same was also carried out in the Units.The Units were also selected for their Outstanding Performance in various areas of excellence like Productivity, Environment & Safety, Energy Conservation, Learning & Development, Official Language and Vigilance Activities. The CMD cup for overall best performance was also given to BNP, Dewas.

In line with Management vision of digitization of SPMCIL and IT strategy of achieving complete digitization within 5 years; the first step to becoming paperless office has been achieved. The pilot project of e-Office was implemented successfully at SPMCIL Corporate Office & Data Center. The e-Office application was made live on 24th July 2020 by initiating an IT file from Data Center, which was reviewed and forwarded by AGM (IT) seeking approvals from SPMCIL Top management comprising of D(F), D(T), D(HR) and CMD. The complete cycle & movement of the digital file process was followed end to end successfully. The launch of e-Office at SPMCIL headquarters will ensure a digital workplace solution which has a suite of products that will pave the way for an efficient and open working environment by streamlining workflow for both Head office and subsequently for units making them paperless. The implementation of e-Office application will enhance transparency where files can be tracked and their status is known to all at all times, Increase accountability where the responsibility of quality and speed of decision making is easier to monitor. This will also assure data security and data integrity across SPMCIL by providing a platform for re-inventing and re-engineering the istrative/ office processes. One of the key objectives will be to gradually transform the government work culture and ethics by promoting greater collaboration in the work place and effective knowledge management.
