SPMCIL unit awarded for achievement in Energy Conservation

India Government Mint, Mumbai, one of the units of Security Printing & Minting Corporation of India Ltd. (SPMCIL), has been selected for the “Certification of Merit” in the General Category Sector for the National Energy Conservation Awards – 2009 being coordinated by Bureau of Energy Efficiency of the Ministry of Power. These Awards are given to selected Industrial units who have made systematic and serious attempts for efficient utilisation and conservation of energy.

SPMCIL is a “Mini Navaratna” company under the administrative control of the department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance. With its headquarter at New Delhi, SPMCIL has four Mints, two Bank Note Printing Presses, Two Security Printing Presses and one Security Paper Mill.
