18वीं शताब्दी- कलकत्ता टकसाल में सिक्कों की ढलाई शुरू हुई। 1790 में इंग्लैंड से आधुनिक मशीनरी मंगवाई गई और दूसरी टकसाल की स्थापना की गई। इन टकसालों से कांस्य, चांदी और सोने के सिक्के ढाले जा रहे थे।
1918- British sovereign were minted during 1918 as the Mint in Mumbai was declared as branch of Royal Mint of London.
